Ordu is a lovely harbour on the Black Sea. It is less known than some other provinces but is rich in hazelnuts and other agricultural offerings. Similar fruitfulness has not been seen spiritually - Ordu needs seeds to be sown.
Many buildings in Ordu used to be churches and Bible schools. "A group of students waiting to talk to us 'foreigners' didn't know their school used to be a Bible school. The students asked a lot of questions about Christianity. As we were talking with them, two police on a motor bike approached us. The students were a bit uncomfortable then and left. But as we were waiting for the police chief to come, we sat with the police outside the church and shared the gospel with them, explaining it as we tied evangelistic bracelets on their wrists. The police chief came and was interested to hear more. We had no trouble and went away rejoicing."
