Diyarbakır is the only province in eastern Turkey with Evangelicals meeting in a public church building. They do active outreach in a city where there is often disunity and violence. Diyarbakir has the potential to transform the East!
The team that travelled to Diyarbakır was able to join the fellowship for worship, which was a great encouragement to everyone! Afterwards, they learned there was also a service in one of the minority languages so they stayed for that too, helping with the kids class. After that and the next day, they were able to go sharing the henna story with more than 30 people throughout the city. The church as well had given them their cards to pass out; they learned that the Protestant fellowship has a great presence in the city and that many people have visited or at least know about it. The team is missing, though, the two Turkish believers who have been ministering with them but who have now returned home. What a blessing to share alongside local believers who have a call to live/serve in the east of the country! Ask that the Father would make a way for them to return and to give more Turks a passion to share with their people!
